PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS
IP - Typical Indirect Patient Care Environment: (CSPD Instrument Technician, Lab Technician, Pharmacist)
- Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
- May be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
- May require periodic to frequent use of personal computer.
- Off-site travel may be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare related field. Requires a current Alaska state RN license and current BLS certification. All direct patient care personnel are required to demonstrate competent performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) techniques for adults, children and infants according to the standards of a nationally recognized, standardized, credentialed healthcare provider course every other year.
Requires skills and abilities typically attained with three (3) or more years of work experience in nursing. Must possess excellent presentation, facilitation, and computer technology skills as well as strong organization and communication skills and the ability to take initiative, solve problems and improve processes. Expert knowledge of medical terminology is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) or more years as a registered nurse in a clinic with increasing responsibility and experience related to training and competency preferred.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
