GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
QCC Counseling and Wellness Office provides students with assessment, crisis intervention, short-term counseling, as well as workshops, outreach programs and referrals within the QCC community and general community. Consultation is provided to the QCC community. We seek excellence through diversity and inclusion.
. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide individual counseling for QCC students within a brief solution focused counseling model.
2. Facilitate workshops, crisis assessment, and psycho-educational programs/groups.
3. Provide behavioral and clinical consultation to the QCC faculty and staff.
4. Participate in team, departmental and collegial meetings.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS:
1. Master’s Degree in a Mental Health discipline.
2. Licensed as a Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
3. Ability to provide brief and focused counseling.
4. Demonstrated competency working with multicultural and other diverse populations.
5. Experience providing risk assessment and crisis response.
6. Experience working independently and collaboratively in a fast paced work setting.
7. Experience and skills with the use of technology to enhance services.
