MindPath Care Centers is thrilled to announce the launch of its new outpatient Addiction Recovery Center [ARC] program in North Carolina. ARC is led by R. Dewayne Book, MD, addictions specialist and psychiatrist.

We are seeking candidates who are fully and dually-licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) in the state of North Carolina, and are based in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC. LCSW-As who will be fully licensed within six months may still apply and be considered. Candidates who only hold a LCAS or LCAS-A license without a LCSW or LCSW-A will not be considered due to billing requirements.

Job Summary:

• Facilitate virtual and in-person mental health and substance abuse therapy groups.
• Complete clinical initial evaluations to assess the appropriateness of MindPath’s office-based outpatient treatment program.
• Manage clinical caseload and navigate collaborating with a clinical team including doctors and social workers.
• Maintain documentation requirements to track patient progress and outcomes. Maintain records related to services delivered according to state and federal confidentiality regulations, ethical requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
• Participate in team meetings, professional and developmental trainings, seminars, and conferences pertaining to the Addiction Recovery Center and its operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience working in the substance abuse / addictions field
• Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocol and 12 Step models of recovery
• Candidate must be able to travel to different clinic sites in Wake County as needed.
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to engage individuals in treatment according to the program structure and individuals treatment plan in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner.
• Clinicians from the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities are encouraged to apply.

License Qualifications:
Clinicians who are fully and dually licensed (LCSW/LCAS) in North Carolina at the Masters level are strongly preferred, but the following criteria can meet requirements:

Fully licensed LCSW and LCAS-A:

• Must have less than one year left until fully licensed LCAS

OR

Fully licensed LCAS and LCSW-A:

• Must have less than 6 months left until fully licensed LCSW
