Human Services Director
The Town of Falmouth, population 30,000 (100,000 during tourist season), is currently accepting applications for a Human Services Director. Position is responsible for human service functions, including clinical counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, consultation, staff supervision (including clinical work) and community mobilization. Conducts strategic planning regarding human service related needs, including community needs assessment, advocacy, program development, and ongoing evaluation of outcomes and effectiveness of programs and services; supervises clinical social workers and advises staff on clinical issues; performs crisis interventions and makes referrals; counsels individuals, couples, families and groups; conducts home visits; develops policies and procedures consistent with best practices, state and federal regulations and ethical standards of care; writes requests for proposals, grant applications and bids; manages contracts; fosters and maintains relationships with external organizations and government agencies to improve delivery of critical services to client populations; participates in task forces, helps build coalitions; prepares department budget. Master’s Degree in Social Work; seven years of experience in counseling and human services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license; Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker; program planning and consensus building experience; clinical supervisory experience; knowledge of referral resources and laws pertaining of counseling. Salary range is $74,380-$97,094.
