FIELD LEARNING AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
The Silver School of Social Work at New York University invites applications for a Clinical Instructor position for our Field Learning and Community Partnerships area, with the position beginning Summer 2017.
This is a renewable 11-month non-tenure eligible position. The position involves close collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Field Learning and Community Partnerships and other faculty including the Field Learning Clinical Faculty and Management Team. The primary function (75% effort) is to be responsive to student learning needs in the field learning curriculum through development of new field placements, placement of students in internships, collaboration with community agencies to develop learning opportunities and to work with faculty, faculty advisors, and field instructors to identify and resolve problems related to field learning settings and/or student performance. The candidate will serve on the faculty and have responsibility for teaching the SIFI course.
An MSW degree, PhD/DSW preferred and at least five years post-master’s agency-based experience is required. Candidates must be knowledgeable about a wide range of social service and health care settings and serving diverse populations. Experience working in and/or familiarity with gerontology settings is highly desirable. Candidates from under represented ethnic and cultural groups are encouraged to apply.
