We are seeking a DYNAMIC On-Call Crisis Specialist (Weeknights) for our ChAMPS program who will be responsive to crisis on a PRN/ PART TIME basis.
The ON-CALL Crisis Specialist deploys from home to crisis situations within the community along with other crisis specialists and provides relevant and timely interventions.
The ON-CALL Crisis Specialist will work with clinical and crisis specialists as part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide rapid mobile outreach and crisis assessment and stabilization services to children (6-21) who live in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia (for youth committed to DC CFSA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide on call after hours specifically for the Monday to Friday nights shifts •Respond to a crisis between the hours of 10:00 pm to 7:00 am •Holiday evening shifts are REQUIRED
•Deploys to any crisis calls on an PRN basis, including holidays •Participates in weekly supervision and other CHAMPS specific trainings •Has a four hour shift in the office once a week •Must enter notes within a 24 hours of deployment in to the credible system •Follows up on cases during weekly office shift and provides face to face follow ups for clients
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field. (Master’s preferred.) •Licensure in relevant discipline or the ability to be licensed by the District of Columbia. (Additional Maryland License preferred.)
•Minimum of two years experience working with social services. (Previous experience working crisis intervention preferred.)
