The Menninger Clinic's Compass Program for Young Adults (Compass) serves young adults, ages 18 to 30, who are having problems managing the transition from adolescence to adulthood. This inpatient treatment program lasts six to eight weeks.
Many of our patients have made previous attempts at treatment but have been unable to make progress or sustain previous gains. The Menninger team works with each patient to determine what stands in the way of progress and develops a path for sustained improvement. Compass patients learn to take responsibility for their problems, learn new coping skills and build greater confidence in moving toward functioning adulthood.
The Staff Social Worker is responsible for applying the knowledge, skills, and perspective of clinical social work to the services provided by The Menninger Clinic, including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, (inpatient) consultation, education, research, and administration.
Full-time, 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
