Palliative Care Social Worker, LICSW – Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge
This is an 18-month grant funded position.
In this role, you will assess patients and families and provide intervention and treatment to support patients. You will address psychosocial needs and patterns of adjustment throughout the hospitalization and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to formulate treatment plans to maximize emotional, social and physical well-being. You will provide information and education regarding health care and community resources.
Qualified applicants will have a Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work. One to two years of previous clinical experience in a medical setting with mental health background is preferred. Applicants must have current Massachusetts license as LICSW. Proficiency with Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software. Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population are essential. The ability to work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team is required. The chosen candidate must be able to anticipate challenges and develop and implement strategies for addressing them. The skills set to demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations is essential.
