Location: Camp Long 82 Camp Long Road, Aiken, SC 29805
Position Summary: Serve in a non-residential capacity to coordinate clinical service and assist in best practices programming in a residential experiential/behavior modification program for non-violent juvenile offenders. This position is responsible for ensuring that case management counseling services are provided.
Reports to: The Camp Long , Director
Develops, coordinates and implements an individualized plan for service and treatment of juveniles assigned to the center. Coordinates and/or provides training to facility staff on service provisions. The HSP works with the site director on interface with the Department of Juvenile Justice on matters relating to treatment. Prepare the Service Plan for each resident on his/her caseload, prepare the Service Plan Review, prepare the Discharge Plan while the resident is at Camp at the Discharge Summary after the resident has been discharged. This will be completed in accordance with state regulations.
Counsels with juveniles on an individual and group basis focusing on the plan for services in order to meet their needs and to enhance their ability to function in more appropriate ways. Also, counsels juveniles on behavior and progress in all phases of treatment and prepares them for return home or to a less restrictive environment.
Attends staff meetings, conferences and trainings. Is available to parents and other agencies for consultations. Provides family therapy as needed. Coordinates and approves off-campus activities. Serves as part of the management team and supports all aspects of facility operations to include, but not limited to, security procedures, juvenile assessments, recreation maintenance and staff functions.
Serves as Social Worker on call.
