Loudoun County's Department of Family Services is seeking qualified applicants with a demonstrated interest in working with older adults and adults with disabilities to join a dynamic team as an Adult Protective Services (APS) Field Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising workers investigating APS reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of individuals who are over 60 years old or who are between 18-60 and incapacitated. This position monitors compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, mandates, standards, and policies, ensures 24/7 APS on-call coverage, participating in coverage and being available to the on-call worker as needed, provides direct supervision on cases and field work, and performs administrative duties including performance evaluations. The position requires a dedicated, service-oriented team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Hiring Range: $52,621-$76,784. Recruitment # 17-S466-0245. Apply immediately. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology or a directly related field and four years’ experience working in Adult Protective Services, to include supervisory experience. Master’s degree preferred. Must have a valid driver's license. Evening/weekend APS on-call required and must be available to consult/assist the APS evening/weekend on-call workers. Successful candidate will undergo a criminal background, credit, child protective services, and driving record check.
