The Director Position requires a LPC or LCSW. This position is responsible for oversight of all Adult Core Services including all clinical, outpatient, psychosocial rehabilitation, peer, residential/Supportive Housing Staff. Oversees Outpatient treatment programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be familiar with clinical aspects of MH, SA, co-occurring Diseases.
Independently makes decisions and has organization skill
Manage a team and ensures everyone participates
Participates in Agency Committees as required
Adheres to company Policy and Procedures, HFRD requirements, and CARF standards
Create a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License, have a clean Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) and Criminal Back Ground Check
LCSW, LPC or BSN required
Clinical aspects of MH, SA, & Co-Occurring Disorders
Has knowledge of chronic mental illness and accompanying symptoms
Develop and maintain positive relationships with mental health consumers and their families, the community, other service providers, and with funding sources.
Knowledge of Medicaid service guidelines
Ensures Medicaid policies with regards to services are met and documented appropriately.
Supervisory experience in a mental health setting
Understanding of current psychotropic medications
Knowledgeable of best practices for adult mental health services
Knowledgeable of individual and group counseling/training methods
Able to demonstrate effective decision-making skills
Responsible for the overall management of consumer services
Assures adherence to program treatment philosophies and policies
Represents the agency in the community and at referral sites
Maintains State, Federal, licensing, regulatory, and accreditation body laws and regulations
Attends necessary and required meetings
Master’s degree in one of the following discipline categories: social work, psychology, or counseling.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.
Two or more years of experience in diagnosing, treating and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment of MH/DD/SA populations.
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills
Manages the development and completion of authorization requests
Interacts with clients in order to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, set limits, encourage growth and development, and resolve issues
Attends and schedules consumer treatment team meetings.
Regularly trains staff on clinical service and documentation best practices
Observe staff in clinical situations to assure high quality in their services.
Provides regular supervision to staff
Ensures that client records are maintained in accordance with standard format and timetables and within State accreditation guidelines.
Oversees staff time sheets and schedules.
Independently makes decisions and demonstrates organization skills
Ability to respond effectively to crisis
Ability to motivate and direct individuals and groups
Ability to develop sound therapeutic relationships within appropriate boundaries
Ability to structure and organize own job responsibilities
Ability to structure and organize the job responsibilities of others
Ability to build effective community and social service agency networks and relationships.
Promote client involvement in service delivery
Participates in management team and serves as a member of the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee
