Witt/Kieffer has been retained by VNA Health Group in Red Bank, New Jersey to assist in the search for a Chair, Advanced Care Institute (Chair).
VNA Health Group is New Jersey’s largest nonprofit Visiting Nurse Association that helps individual and families achieve their best level of health and well-being by providing home health care, hospice, palliative and community-based care and operating private-pay personal care services. A full range of primary care services are available through VNA Health Group’s Community Health Centers. VNA Health Group’s unique partnership model with health systems leverages their clinical and technical resources to operate VNA of Central Jersey, Cape VNA, Robert Wood Johnson Visiting Nurses, VNA of Englewood, and Visiting Physician Services. Currently, they employ more than 1,400 people and each year, care for over 120,000 individuals and families with a special focus on vulnerable populations such as children, older adults and those with serious and disabling chronic illness. VNA Health Group helps individuals and families achieve their best level of health and well-being through their professional team of doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers, nutritionists and personal care aides.
The Chair is a key member of the VNA Health Group leadership team and will serve as an enterprise- wide champion for quality and physician education for VNA Health Group across its provider services. The Chair will have overall operational and strategic responsibilities for the Advanced Care Institute and be accountable for fulfillment of the strategic plan, goals and objectives. The Chair will be the quality champion and driver of excellence in clinical outcomes and patient experience within visiting physician and palliative services.
The Chair will be a physician and administrative leader for the Institute. This new Chair will also render physician services to patients in their homes located within New Jersey. The Chair will provide patient care, including house calls and/or providing palliative medicine services. She/he will oversee all clinical performance of the nurse practitioners and physician assistant staff. In addition, the Chair will provide executive and administrative leadership to the Advanced Care Institute.
The ideal candidate for the VNA Health Group Chair position will possess an M.D. or D.O., with the ability to obtain licensure in the State of New Jersey. The Chair will be an active and well-respected clinician. She/he will be active in the National Hospice Association, National Association of Home Care and Hospice, Association of Home and Hospice Care, Visiting Nurse Associations of America and/or similar and relevant industry associations.
