Assistant Professor of Social Work
The Springfield College School of Social Work (SCSSW), a leader in MSW graduate education in New England and surrounding areas, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track assistant professor of social work position. SCSSW is committed to preparing competent and effective professionals who will provide leadership in practice, social policy, empirical research, and administration of service delivery systems based on the principles of economic and social justice, dignity, and human rights.
Successful applicants will have a master of social work degree from a CSWE accredited MSW program (Ph.D. preferred), five years' post-master's experience in social work practice, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and a strong commitment to scholarly and service activities. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in advanced generalist practice, gerontology, and social work research. The appointment will begin on September 1, 2017.
