The University of Wyoming’s (UW) Division of Social Work invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor for fall 2017. Persons with expertise in teaching in generalist and advanced generalist practice, research methods and direct/community practice are especially encouraged to apply.
The Division of Social Work offers a Generalist BSW program and an Advanced Generalist MSW program enrolling approximately 75 undergraduate and 40 graduate students. The University and the Division of Social Work maintain outreach centers across Wyoming providing excellent opportunities for community practice and research. The MSW program uses teleconferencing to deliver portions of the curriculum statewide. The University and the Division provide resources for new faculty, including start-up funding.
Position responsibilities include: Maintaining an active research/scholarly program; teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; advising students; supervising graduate student research projects; conducting field liaison work; participation in division, college, university and professional activities; providing service and outreach activities; and participating in curriculum and program development. This position requires weekend and/or evening teaching, periodic travel within the state, and use of instructional distance delivery systems.
