Job Description |

The Department of Social Work invites applications for 1 full time, tenure track teaching position, beginning September 2010 in a CSWE accredited Department of Social Work with BSW and MSW programs. Primary teaching responsibilities include advanced practice courses with individuals, families and groups, differential diagnosis and/or human behavior and the social environment in both the BSW and MSW programs. Additional responsibilities include student advising, curriculum and program development, and collaboration on departmental and college-wide committees. A commitment to working with non-traditional students will require evening and some weekend teaching. Successful applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and advising; and demonstrate an ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups. Candidates with experience and whose research agendas are informed by culturally inclusive designs, methodology, and/or dissemination are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements |
|
|
-An earned doctorate in Social Work or closely related field - Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited school of Social Work - LICSW eligibility -At least two years of post-MSW experience - Teaching experience in higher education - A demonstrated commitment to public higher education, to social justice issues, and to involvement with the college and the wider community
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSW and MSW teaching experience - Engagement in well-defined and on-going research and scholarly activities
