Job Description Nantucket Cottage Hospital is seeking a Medical Social Worker to work 25-40 hrs/wk, year-round, with a generous compensation package. Position is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive social services, including assessment, counseling, discharge planning, placement and transportation support, financial counseling and staff support as needed or requested by the Emergency Dept, Visiting Nurses and Hospice Care of Nantucket. Will also work in conjunction with Nantucket Behavioral Health Services (NBHS) to insure prompt and efficient services are provided to behavioral health patients who present to the ED. Requirements Master’s Degree in Social Work Required; At least 3 years prior social work experience; Prior experience in a hospital or health care setting preferred; Current valid Massachusetts Licensed Certified Social Worker license required; Current valid driver’s license required.
