The University of Michigan, School of Social Work invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall Term 2010. Assistant/Associate/Professor Social Work Applicants should have a record of productive research and the ability to secure external grants. They should also have the ability to teach effectively at the master’s and doctoral levels. In addition, tenure-track faculty are expected to participate in service activities, advise students, and be otherwise available for administrative appointments, as deemed necessary by the Dean and the Executive Committee. Applicants with expertise in one or more areas of macro or interpersonal practice methods are especially welcome.

Appointments can be made at the junior and senior level. Junior applicants should have an established research agenda and a record of publication, preferably in peer-reviewed journals. Senior applicants should have a record of productive research and the ability to secure external grants. An MSW degree is preferred; a Doctorate in Social Work or a related field is required. Review of applications will begin October 1, 2009. This position is posted as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor. The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon candidate’s qualifications.
